24 Pages.  This lovely book is part of the Lace Maker New Series on the topic of Filet Crochet. There are over seventy-five lovely detailed illustrations for edgings and insertions with detailed instructions to make them. The insertion designs include a swan, elephant, hare, duck, chicken, doves, cow, peacock, bee, dragon, butterfly and much more. This edition is a goldmine of creative Filet Crochet designs, suitable to decorate the finest linens.
Please note that Mme. Hadley was a Lace Maker, and not a pattern writer. Her patterns are not the easiest to follow - but her wisdom and skills are the best of her day. She was the editor of the Butterick lace making books, winner of the 1892 World's Fair lace making competition and shop owner who supplied and repaired laces for the finest families in the country.
